If you prefer fuller brows and a more defined “makeup” look, Powder Brow mimics the look of natural brows. Using machine and permanent make-up techniques, pigments are applied to the skin in a defined soft shape. The eyebrow powder technique is perfect for oily skin or sparse eyebrows.

Ombré eyebrows are made with a new technique that uses more traditional machine methods. This technique leaves a soft mist/powder finish in a clean design. The density of the implanted pigment begins to spread slightly at the front of the brow and gradually darkens towards the tip. This Powder Brows technique tends to last longer and is better overall for skin integrity. This is ideal for those with little or no hair, oily skin, or those who prefer a more defined brow shape.

The consultation is an important part of the Powder Brows Vienna process, where we discuss your preferences and exchange ideas. Then we can decide which method will best accentuate your existing brow shape. This includes shaping (plucking if necessary) and marking to give you an idea of what the final result will look like. This also gives you the opportunity to see in advance what the result will look like approximately.

Ombre eyebrows are achieved with a machine that uses a coloring technique that distributes tiny dots of pigment evenly throughout the skin. Microblading, on the other hand, uses hand tools to make minimal incisions in the skin. Repeated cuts in the same place can damage the skin more quickly over time. Therefore, Powderbrows Vienna are less invasive.

Ombré powder brows are less painful than the microblading technique because of the shading technique, which traumatizes the skin less. Because there will be cuts in the skin, causing more bleeding. With ombré powder brows, minimal to no blood surfaces occur during the procedure. Some customers say that applying ombré powder brows is a similar feeling to an electric toothbrush pressed against the skin, or a quick pluck. Due to the use of local anesthetics, little to no discomfort is experienced.
Results vary depending on lifestyle, skin type, health, preferences, etc., but a single ombré powder eyebrow session with high-quality pigments can last 1-3 years on average.
Ombré Powder Brows are great for any skin type, unlike Microblading which is not suitable for large pored, oily and older skin. Microblading on oily skin requires several touch-ups, which traumatizes the skin more.
While ombré powder brows have a more “filled in” look, the healed results appear like a softly shaded brow pencil or soft mist powder. Immediately after treatment, ombré powder brows can appear stronger and more saturated, but the brows fade by 40-50%, leaving a very soft, powdery finish and shape as the end result.
Powderbrows can stimulate growth in your brow area because of the slightly “tattooed” way they are applied. Powder brows do not interfere with the natural growth cycle of the eyebrows.
Immediately after your procedure, your eyebrows will appear darker and more defined and this will last up to 2 weeks. Your new eyebrows may appear firmer. Hair strokes seem to disappear and it can look wet and painted on, but this is normal. Around days 4-5, scabbing may occur and your eyebrows may look dry and flaky. Don’t pick at your crusts and let them fall off naturally. If the crust is removed prematurely, there will be missing strands of hair and patchy eyebrows.
It takes up to 6-8 weeks to heal completely. Don’t expect your brows to heal perfectly after the first session. This is a two-step, sometimes multi-step process.
